The new captain Daniel Richter takes over the Aidastella command!

Port Louis, Mauritius - On May 21, 2025, Daniel Richter started his first assignment as captain on Aidastella. He took the command of captain Jan-Peter Lindner in the port of Port Louis, Mauritius, and thus marked an important step in his nautical career. Before his appointment as captain, judge worked as a staff captain for Aida Cruises for eight years, where he gained extensive experience.

Richter's career began in 2012 at the Rostock shipping company when he hired the third officer. He soon went through various positions within the bridge crew and was finally appointed staff captain in 2017. Most recently, he was on the Aidacosma before taking command on Aidastella.

Current course of the Aidastella

The Aidastella is currently on its trans travel from Tokyo, Japan, to Palma de Mallorca. The ship has been on this route since mid -April 2025. A change of guests recently took place in the port of Port Louis, which offered the passengers new travel options. The first trips under Richter's command will continue until June 19, 2025 when the Aidastella is expected for the first time this year in Palma de Mallorca.

In the 2025 summer season, it is planned that the ship will carry out various cruises in the western Mediterranean by mid -October and to Palma de Mallorca. At the end of the season, some cruises in the eastern Mediterranean are also planned. From mid -October 2025, Aidastella will start a transition from the Mediterranean via South Africa to the Indian Ocean area. During the winter season 2025/2026, various cruises around the Seychelles, Mauritius and South Africa are planned.
