The meteorological summer starts in June 2025 and with it the long-awaited holiday season. In order to help viewers choose the right holiday destination, the television channels Kabel Eins and Sat.1 are relying on their new holiday formats. The programs are intended to inform, entertain and, above all, point out possible holiday pitfalls.
In the program “Beware of rip-offs – on the trail of holiday fraudsters” Peter Giesel will be looking for holiday fraudsters. Giesel will encounter tourist traps not only in his home country but also in exotic destinations. The start of the new season is scheduled for June 26th at 8:15 p.m. Giesel examines attractive travel destinations in the Caribbean, ranging from Miami to the Bahamas to Curacao.
Sat.1 brings the holiday check
At the same time, Sat.1 is launching the “Sat.1 Urlaubscheck” on June 16th. Moderated by Madita van Hülsen and Matthias Killing, the first episode examines offers for an all-inclusive trip to Turkey, a holiday park in the Netherlands and an individual trip to Italy. Prominent vacationer families and well-known personalities, including Stefano Zarrella, put these offers through their paces.
On June 23rd at 8:15 p.m. the format will highlight special topics such as “Cruises, Camping & Package Tours”. Here too, travel families will take a closer look at various holiday options in collaboration with the moderators Collien Ulmen-Fernandes and Matthias Killing.
