Emirates connects Dubai to Da Nang: a new flight for travelers!

On June 2, Emirates' Boeing 777-300ER with flight number EK370 landed at Da Nang International Airport. This marks the official start of the new flight route, which represents a major expansion of Emirates' route network to Vietnam. This makes Da Nang the third city in Vietnam to be served by the airline, alongside Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Emirates offers four flights per week via Bangkok, offering travelers a convenient way to travel to the emerging coastal city.

The opening ceremony was celebrated with an impressive water cannon ceremony, highlighting the public interest and importance of the new route. Nabil Sultan, Executive Vice President at Emirates, attended the event and described the route as an important step in the company's growth strategy in Southeast Asia. This is expected to not only boost tourism but also promote trade and bilateral relations between Vietnam and other international markets. The new connection brings Da Nang into contact with more than 140 cities worldwide on six continents.

Importance for Da Nang

Tran Chi Cuong, vice chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee, highlighted the importance of the new route for the city. Da Nang will be positioned as a strategic trade center, which is in line with the implementation of National Assembly Resolution 136. This resolution aims to develop Da Nang into an international financial center and free trade zone. The new air route is also expected to encourage investment in the region.

At the opening event, Tran Chi Cuong presented Nabil Sultan with a gift symbolizing the Dragon Bridge. This bridge is not only a landmark of the city, but also an example of the modern architecture that Da Nang is known for. The city is surrounded by rolling hills and offers numerous attractions that attract tourists, such as boat rides on the Hàn River and the spectacular Golden Bridge, suspended between two large stone hands.

Attractions and culture in Da Nang

Da Nang is known for its charming combination of nature and culture. Popular destinations include the Chua Linh Ung Temple, the large Guanyin Buddha statue on the Son Tra Peninsula and the Marble Mountains, which delight visitors with their caves and pagodas. The famous My Khe Beach offers white sand and coconut palms, ideal for relaxing sunsets.

Nguyen Vu Quynh Anh, deputy general manager of Sun Group, highlighted the positive impact of the new route, especially in attracting discerning customers from the Middle East, Europe and America. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Da Nang has already organized a program to welcome tourists on the first Emirates flight EK370, in recognition of the great expectations of the new air transport service.

In Da Nang, visitors can expect a rich culinary experience, including traditional dishes such as Mi Quang, a specialty of rice noodles in turmeric broth, and fresh rice paper rolls with various meat and vegetable variations. These gastronomic highlights complement the city's appeal and make it a sought-after travel destination in Vietnam.

According to those responsible, the new Dubai-Bangkok-Da Nang route will not only promote tourism, but also significantly boost the region's economic development. The ability to reach Da Nang directly from Dubai is expected to boost both business and leisure travel to this attractive holiday destination.
