The Kinks, the legendary British rock band, are accompanying their fans with a special event this year: they are celebrating their sixtieth band anniversary. As part of this anniversary, onJuly 11, 2025the third and final part of her anthology “The Journey” has been published. This release, following the success of the first two parts of the series, is intended to offer a comprehensive look at the highlights of the band's history. The anthology covers the band's RCA/Arista phase1977 to 1984, a period in which the Kinks celebrated their breakthrough in the USA and returned to a classic songwriting style.
How rocktimes.info reports, “The Journey – Part 3” will be released as a double CD or double LP. The first CD or LP presents eleven iconic classics of this time, including titles such as “Come Dancing”, “Destroyer” and “Living On A Thin Line”. To guarantee sound quality, all tracks have been remastered from the original ¼ inch master tapes.
The concert and the unreleased recordings
The second CD or LP offers a special treat: previously unreleased recordings from a concert at the Royal Albert Hall onJuly 11, 1993has taken place. This concert not only celebrated the highlights of over 30 years of band history, but also marked a comeback of the Kinks in Great Britain.
