Netflix news: Paddington in Peru” adventure and more from Monday!

Today, September 15, 2025, Netflix announced an exciting lineup of content for the coming week. What stands out among the new releases is the family adventure film “Paddington in Peru,” which launches on the platform on Monday. Based on the popular stories of Michael Bond, this film follows the Brown family's journey through the Peruvian jungle to find Paddington's Aunt Lucy. After its theatrical release, the film grossed an impressive $191.6 million, against a production budget of between $75 and $90 million. The film was directed by Dougal Wilson, who made his debut with “Paddington in Peru”.

The film contains numerous references to other classics such as "The Sound Of Music", "Raiders of the Lost Ark", "Fitzcarraldo" and "Aguirre, the Wrath of God", making it an interesting experience for families and film enthusiasts. The cast is well-known and includes, among others, Hugh Bonneville, Emily Mortimer and Jim Broadbent, as well as the voices of Ben Whishaw as Paddington and Imelda Staunton as Aunt Lucy. Hugh Grant also stars as Phoenix Buchanan.

A variety of new releases every week

Things get exciting on Tuesday with the documentary “Rebel Royals: An Unlikely Love Story,” which focuses on the relationship between Durek Verrett and Princess Märtha Louise. Viewers can also look forward to the animated film “Drachenreiter”, which tells of the friendship between a dragon and a human. Spike Lee's satirical thriller "BlacKkKlansman" about the infiltration of the Ku Klux Klan and the miniseries "Black Rabbit" with Jason Bateman and Jude Law round out the offering.

Friday also has some treats in store. This is how the romantic comedy “She Said Maybe” and the animated horror comedy series “Haunted Hotel” start, while the historical film “Mary Stuart, Queen of Scotland” with Saoirse Ronan and Margot Robbie takes viewers back in time. The new series “The Billionaire’s Bunker” by Álex Pina, which takes place in a world with two classes, will also be presented.

On Saturday, however, there are no new releases, while on Sunday viewers will be entertained with "Sidemen: Inside: USA", where British influencers tackle challenges in the USA. Expect the unexpected in the exciting week that Netflix offers its viewers.
