Yvonne and Jeremy: Their moving film about South America is taking off!

Yvonne Pferrer and Jeremy Grube are a well-known influencer couple who met eleven years ago in the reality soap “Köln 50667”. Since then, they have not only been a couple, but also a successful team, regularly sharing their impressive travel experiences with over two million followers on Instagram. The two are currently on a Germany-wide premiere tour for their own film, “YABADU – Never Grow Up”, which has been running in selected cinemas since May 15th.

For their film, Yvonne and Jeremy captured their experiences during a six-month road trip through South America. Her journey took her through countries such as Uruguay, Brazil, Paraguay, Argentina, Bolivia, Peru and Chile. The film has a running time of just over an hour and shows not only the beauties of the countries they traveled to, but also the challenges and the encounters they had along the way. What is particularly noteworthy is that the film is intended to help break down prejudices against South America and highlight the wealth of the people within.

Content and message of the film

The idea behind “YABADU – never grow up” is to give a voice to people who are often overlooked. Jeremy remembers a moving encounter with Matheo, a refugee who fled 1,700 kilometers from Uruguay to Brazil. Such stories illustrate the complexity and tragedy of many lives. They also show what Yvonne and Jeremy discovered in their search for hope, which is resolved in a haunting way in the film.

Another shocking moment the couple experienced in Peru was a threat from a robber. He attacked them with a weapon when they only had five euros in their pockets. Despite the dangerous situation, Jeremy remained empathetic and tried to understand the robber's circumstances.

Premiere and fan interaction

On Friday evening, the film will also be presented in Zurich at the Frame cinema, where a meeting with fans will take place after the screening. The screening starts at 8 p.m. and interest is great, as the film's premiere screenings in Germany have already been sold out. The film has not yet been shown in the official cinema program in Switzerland either, which makes the presentation in Zurich a special event.

Yvonne Pferrer, who played the lead role as Anna Kowalski in “Köln 50667”, and Jeremy Grube, 30 and 31 years old, have become important representatives of the travel content creator scene not only because of their platforms, but also through their film. With a total of 4.5 million followers on various social networks, they have managed to ensure that their messages and experiences are noticed by a broad public. The film will be shown in cinemas until June 15th and then in open-air cinemas across Germany from July.

Viewers can expect an inspiring, thought-provoking performance that shows the importance of keeping the child within and looking at the world with an open heart. The West and 20 minutes report in detail about the couple and their film.
