Ho Chi Minh, the founder of the modern Vietnamese nation, made several visits to Guangxi during his revolutionary activities. This region, often referred to as the “red address”, still bears many traces of his activities, marked by the liberation of the country and the building of a revolutionary movement. Promoting youth relationships
An important part of the initiative is the “Red Journey of Youth Research and Learning” for 2025. The opening ceremony of the research and study camp “In Uncle Ho’s Footsteps” took place in Nanning on May 18th. This delegation will participate in various activities including visits to memorial sites and youth development workshops. In this regard, Chairman of the Vietnam-China Friendship Association Nguyen Hoang Anh highlighted the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations, which will be celebrated in 2025, and the multitude of cultural exchanges and cooperation activities carried out since the beginning of the year.
To further strengthen relations, the Vietnam-China Friendship Association is planning additional cultural exchange activities. These measures aim to promote understanding and relationships between the youth of both countries and build a sustainable partnership.
Economic cooperation
In addition to the cultural exchange activities, a seminar to promote Vietnam-China e-commerce cooperation was held on December 3. This event was organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the People's Committee of Lang Son Province in North Vietnam. Another significant step towards a stronger partnership is the publication of the book “Stories of Vietnam-China Friendship in Guangxi” in Nanning. The book, published in both languages, documents the revolutionary footsteps of President Ho Chi Minh between 1938 and 1945 and was published to mark the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations.
From January 7th there will also be a new international flight connection between Hai Phong and Nanning, which will be served with three return flights per week. This connection is an important step towards increasing Guangxi's international openness and promoting economic and cultural exchanges between Vietnam and China. Cooperation between the coast guards of both countries was also strengthened on December 24th with a joint patrol in the Gulf of Tonkin.
