Da Nang opens up to the Middle East: new opportunities for tourists!
On May 20, 2025, a significant online seminar was held by the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in collaboration with Emirates Airlines. Under the title “Introducing Da Nang Tourism to the Middle East Market 2025,” over 100 representatives of travel companies and travel agencies from the Middle East and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) participated. The aim of the seminar was to present information about Da Nang's infrastructure, products and services.
The city of Da Nang has established itself as an attractive travel destination, particularly for resort and MICE tourism. It offers a variety of Halal certified products, luxurious accommodations and personalized experiences for tourists from Muslim countries. This shows that Da Nang is actively preparing for the needs of Middle Eastern travelers.
Strategic steps to attract the market
The ministry is planning several measures to arouse the interest of guests from the Middle East. This includes organizing training programs, updating information on customer care and workshops on the application of Halal standards in the catering and accommodation establishments with more than 200 service providers. We are also working on cultural guidelines and special service procedures for Muslim guests.
Another crucial step is the addition of Da Nang to the Emirates network from June 2nd with four flights per week. This new flight route is considered strategically important to attract discerning customers from the Middle East and Europe and strengthen Central Vietnam's tourism position on the international map.
The attractions of Da Nang
Da Nang is known not only for its emerging tourism sector, but also for its modern urban landscape with skyscrapers in the city center. The development around the riverfront has made the city lively, especially in the evenings, especially among the younger generation. Key attractions include the famous beach, the Marble Mountains and the Cham Museum, which houses the largest collection of Cham artifacts.
The Ho Chi Minh Museum provides insight into the life of Vietnam's national hero, while China Beach is a popular spot for sunbathing and leisure activities. There are numerous seafood restaurants along the beach that offer fresh seafood. The city also has a variety of street markets selling local arts, crafts, household goods and clothing.
Halal offers in Da Nang
To cater to the culinary needs of Muslim travelers, Da Nang offers Mumtaz Indian Restaurant on Tran Phu Street, which serves authentic Indian cuisine. Additionally, there are vegetarian and seafood restaurants that carry some halal options. However, there are currently no mosques in the city, which can pose a challenge for devout Muslims.
With these diverse offerings and new measures, Da Nang is positioning itself as an emerging destination for Middle Eastern travelers, and upcoming initiatives are expected to further enhance the city's appeal. vietnam.vn reports that… and halaltrip.com adds that….
