Lạng Sơn, Vietnam - The diplomatic relationships between Vietnam and China celebrate an important anniversary this year. On May 21, 2025, the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relationships between the two countries is celebrated. This is underlined by various activities and programs that aim to strengthen long -term friendship and cooperation. Today the Chinese embassy in Vietnam heads a program that is organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in the Autonomous region of Guangxi Zhuang and the Chinese Cultural Center in Vietnam. The main goal of this program is to celebrate the memory location and the connections to President Ho Chi Minh.

As part of the celebrations, the “Red Travel of Friendship Vietnam - China in Guangxi” was presented. Ms. Lam Lam, the deputy secretary of the party committee and deputy director of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Guangxi, introduced the topic and emphasized the importance of historical relics that reflect the revolutionary memory of the common struggle of both nations. 13 such relics were identified that deserve special mention, while the trip also includes six thematic tours that focus on the different needs of the participants.

According to the deputy minister of national defense, Lieutenant General Hoàng Xuân Chiến, the event, which took place from April 16 to 17, 2025 in the province of Lạng Sơn in Vietnam and the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous region in China. This event took place shortly after XI Jinping's state visit in Vietnam and marked the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relationships between the two countries.

The joint event included visits to border management units, schools and the distribution of gifts to students. The participants had the opportunity to visit an intelligent border gate and plant friendship trees. For the first time, the two ministers guard a live report by the naval flotters of both countries in order to strengthen the cooperation in relation to common patrols. The new aspects of the exchange were also emphasized, including the expansion of circumference and shape and a variety of activities.
