Huay Kaew Waterfall Chiang Rai is a two -stage waterfall near the village of Pha something in Doi Hang. In my opinion, this is one of the best waterfalls in Chiang Rai in relation to the jungle landscape and swimming.

How do I get here

The far best way to explore Chiang Rai and the picturesque environment is to rent a motorcycle and drive around alone. The streets around Chiang Rai are very well maintained and much less chaotic than at the northern neighbor; Chiangmai.

You can rent a motorcycle in Chiang Rai for 150 baht a day. If you spend the night in the Grace Hostel, the owner can arrange this for you.

As I have already mentioned, it only takes about 45 minutes to an hour to reach the parking lot that cannot be overlooked if you follow the marking above. When you have arrived at the parking lot, follow the hiking trail to the right, which leads up and into the jungle.

The jungle waterfall hike

This waterfall hike is quite short. In fact, it only takes about 5 minutes to reach the first level and about 10 minutes to reach the second level.

The first level is a wide, cascading series of waterfalls with a height of around 30 meters. As soon as you approach him, you will find that it is more to take pictures than swimming.
