Inspiring art and music: summer start 2025 inspires in Phu Yen!

On June 8, 2025, the “Welcome Summer Tourist Season 2025” art program was held in Vietnam. This event features nearly 20 different music and dance performances and aims to promote the beauty of the country and appeal to a young audience. The audience was thrilled by the performances of the diverse artists, including the Sao Bien Folk Music and Dance Theater, the PAS Dance Crew, as well as rappers such as Trung Hieu Idol and Viet Dong.

A particular highlight was the performance of the song “Cute Confession” by singers Thanh Van and Minh Khuong, accompanied by a talented dance group. Le Nguyen Huyen Tran, a student at Phu Yen University, said he found the program exciting. The positive response from the audience clearly showed that the event successfully achieved its goal of appealing to the younger generation.

Diversity of artists and performances

Overall, numerous artists and groups performed to represent the different facets of Vietnamese culture. The performance quality and energy of the artists helped create an immersive atmosphere that captivated the audience.

A completely different artistic spectacle took place in Cologne, where the KunstSalon festival “Music in the Houses of the City” celebrated a restart after a year-long break. The event, under the new leadership of Claudine Engeser, brought 22 bands and solo artists to 22 different locations in the city. The opening took place on November 12, 2025 and was performed by the crossover band UWAGA! designed.

Intimate concerts in unusual locations

The festival spanned five days and offered an intimate atmosphere, with concerts taking place in private living rooms, offices and galleries. A remarkable occupancy rate of 94% was recorded, highlighting the high demand for such events.

Among the artists who performed were well-known musicians, including jazz pianist Jerry Lu, gypsy swing guitarist Joscho Stephan and mezzo-soprano Julie Phan. The festival concluded with an impressive spatial-sound installation by Stefan Döring, Robert Schleisiek and Chris Weinheimer in the O-Ton studio.

The next “Music in the Houses” festival is planned for November 10th to 16th, 2025, which means that the KunstSalon Festival will continue to play an important role in the city’s cultural life. Interested hosts are invited to contact Claudine Engeser to become part of this extraordinary series of events.
