The Da Lat City Red Cross is committed to a variety of humanitarian and social activities in the 2024-2025 school year. Under the motto “Humanitarian journey, giving and receiving love,” important projects are implemented to support needy but high-performing students. Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Hoan, Vice President of the Lam Dong Province Red Cross, recognized particularly committed individuals by awarding them certificates of merit. A total of 3,202 gifts and 95 scholarships were distributed under the Tet Nhan Ai program, with a total value of nearly VND2.7 billion.
Support campaigns for affected communities
Over VND1.2 billion has been mobilized to help people in the north after severe storms and floods. In this regard, local school organizations also played an important role: Thang Long Specialized School supported 31 humanitarian aid organizations with over 145 million VND, while Bach Dang Primary School supported 6 humanitarian aid organizations with almost 63 million VND.
Furthermore, the Red Cross in Dalat provided monthly support of VND500,000 to needy children, totaling VND84 million this year. The campaign “Every organization, every individual is linked to a humanitarian address” also raised a total value of over VND 830 million to implement compassion-creating humanitarian models in schools.
The Da Lat City Red Cross honored a total of 16 collectives and 190 individuals for their outstanding achievements in the 2024-2025 school year.
