Digital journey: Rediscover the history of Ho Chi Minh with GenAI!”
As part of the HUB GenAI Future Founders 2025 program, the project “Uncle Ho's journey to find a way to save the country” will be presented. This innovative venture, developed by Tran Quang Hung, Nguyen Tuan Dat and Ha Huy Hoang, aims to recreate President Ho Chi Minh's historic journey from 1911 to saving the nation. The program runs from March to May 2025 and is aimed at a group of 50 students who want to learn Generative AI (GenAI) knowledge and entrepreneurial skills, reports Vietnam.vn.
A central element of the project is the creation of a digital museum that is intended to help the younger generation in particular better understand the historical significance of Ho Chi Minh. By using GenAI technology, the project's website was created in just three days, even though the team had no previous experience in web programming. This impressive implementation time highlights the opportunities that generative technologies offer to revolutionize education.
Innovative technology in use
Google's AI tool DeepResearch was used to archive Ho Chi Minh's biography and important historical events. The digital museum interface is designed to be intuitive, user-friendly and interactive to ensure an engaging experience. The project manager is already expressing potential for improvement and is hoping for support from the community in order to further develop the website as a valuable learning tool and digital archive.
The far-reaching possibilities of GenAI are also addressed by Lev Manovich in his concept of a “museum without walls”. He discusses that using generative AI could create an infinite museum that simulates works of art from different historical periods. This could include a variety of "additional" works by real-life artists, offering insights into the development of their styles, such as Manovich.net is explained.
Expansion of art history
Such a “generative museum” could also explore alternative art histories and examine hypothetical scenarios, such as what great artists would have created if they had lived in other cultures. These ideas not only expand our understanding of art history, but also of media history. The development of projects such as the digital museum about Ho Chi Minh as part of the HUB GenAI Future Founders 2025 program shows how current technologies can be used to reconstruct and communicate history and culture.
