Hanoi 2025: Experience the great tourism festival of culture!
The Hanoi Tourism Festival 2023 kicked off this weekend at the impressive Thang Long Imperial Citadel. The event is themed “Experience Hanoi 2025” and aims to celebrate the cultural and historical heritage of the capital as well as promote travel destinations and tourism services in Hanoi. During the festival, visitors can participate in various experiential spaces covering themes such as “Hanoi Destination”, traditional crafts and culinary experiences.
A key highlight of these celebrations is the space that promotes the authentic impression of Hanoi culture and tourism. The event is aimed at both locals and international tourists. The aim is to position Hanoi as a “safe, high-quality, attractive and friendly” travel destination. The Hanoi People's Committee has tasked the Ministry of Tourism with organizing and coordinating the festival to strengthen tourism ties with other provinces and cities both nationally and internationally.
Cultural opportunities and experiences
Visitors to the festival have the opportunity to take part in art performances, art parades and cultural exchanges. In addition, historical sites such as the Thang Long Imperial Citadel and the Quoc Tu Giam Temple of Literature will be included in the events.
Another important part of the festival is the stalls provided, which recreate the atmosphere of the ancient streets. At these stalls, visitors can explore 2D and 3D miniatures, discover local heritage and sample Hanoi's many culinary specialties. A crafts area will also highlight fine products from traditional craft villages.
Expectations and attractions
The festival is held three times a year and has attracted large numbers of visitors in the past. In 2024, when the theme of “Thang Long-Hanoi – Charming Capital” will be addressed, even more companies and local operators will be encouraged to offer attractive tourism packages to attract travelers with high-quality services. Around 150 stands are planned to showcase tourism products and local specialties, so festival visitors can expect a wide variety of experiences.
Of particular note are planned performances that combine traditional and contemporary art forms, including a water puppet show themed on the history of the Imperial Citadel and an Ao Dai show titled “Golden History of Trang An.” All in all, the festival is described as Hanoi's largest annual tourism promotion event and is estimated to attract around 50,000 visitors.
The Hanoi Tourism Festival once again promises to strengthen both cultural and business networks and present Hanoi as one of the most important tourist destinations in Vietnam. Vietnam.vn reports on the festival's wide range of activities and promising goals, while VOV World details the events and historical sites that are part of the celebrations.
