Nguyen Thi My Linh triumphs as the new Miss Vietnam!

The competition night to determine the top five participants of Miss World Vietnam 2025 took place on May 31, 2025. On this glamorous evening, the candidates thrilled the audience with their presentations in ao dai, bikinis and evening dresses. The top 5 participants were Phung Thi Thanh Hang, Nguyen Thi Bich Diep, Nguyen Thi My Linh, Nguyen Tuong Vy and Nguyen Tran Phuong Thao.

The new Miss World Vietnam was crowned by Nguyen Thi My Linh from Thanh Hoa, who also won the secondary prize for “candidate with the most beautiful face”. Phung Thi Thanh Hang from Vinh Phuc took second place, while Nguyen Tuong Vy from Hanoi secured third place. Nguyen Thi My Linh, who was born in 2005 and is 1.70 m tall and measures 80-65-96, is a student at the Faculty of Tourism at Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism. She had already won the title of “Miss Elegant Student” in 2024.

Commitment to marine conservation

In the behavioral round, Nguyen Thi My Linh talked about the beauty of the sea and islands of Vietnam. “After the coronation, I plan to become actively involved in marine conservation and set up a club in Thanh Hoa,” she said of her ambitious plans.

In addition to the main prizes, various secondary prizes were awarded, including the title of “Talented Beauty” to the duo Nguyen Thi Bich Diep and Nguyen Huyen Linh. Phung Thi Thanh Hang received the “Beauty of the Sea” award, while other awards were given to candidates for their outstanding qualities. The winners included Pham Thi Kim Oanh (Ao Dai beauty), Nguyen Van Anh (contestant with the most beautiful skin) and Nguyen Tran Phuong Thao (contestant with the most beautiful evening dress).

The influence of Nguyễn Thị Phương Linh

Among the keenly watched contestants was Nguyễn Thị Phương Linh, a promising candidate at Miss World Vietnam 2022. The 5'7" beauty is appreciated for her personable charisma and welcoming smile, which could help her win over the audience. Phương Linh, who is a former student of THPT Chuyên Lê Quý Đôn in Quảng Trị, is currently a final year student at the University of Foreign Trade in Ho Chi Minh City.

In her comments, she was often compared to Miss Vietnam 2004, Nguyễn Thị Huyền. Phương Linh saw this as an incentive for self-improvement and expressed the desire to take a photo with the former Miss. “I hope my messages and my goal of achieving the highest honor will be well received,” she said. Her self-confidence was boosted by the support of friends and family.

The competition was led by a renowned jury including folk artist Lan Huong, historian Duong Trung Quoc and Dr. Nguyen Cong Dung passed. The chairman of the advisory board was folk artist Vuong Duy Bien.

Overall, the event showcased not only the beauty but also the participants' commitment to important social issues. This year was all about ocean conservation and promoting a positive social impact.
