Press Cup 2025: Journalists in football fever in front of Super Cup against Thailand!

Hanoi, Vietnam - The announcement ceremony of the 9th National Press Cup 2025 took place on May 19 in Hanoi. This competition, which is organized by Vietnam Family Magazine in cooperation with the press department of the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism, celebrates significant anniversaries. On the one hand, the 100th anniversary of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press (June 21, 1925 - 21, 2025) is celebrated, on the other hand, the Press Cup is also dominated by the 80th anniversary of the national holiday of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2025).

Ho Minh Chien, editor -in -chief of the Vietnam Family Magazine, leads the organization committee and emphasizes the importance of the press cup for sports culture among journalists. Since its foundation, the tournament has developed into a central event for the media representatives after eight seasons. The final of the Press Cup 2025 will take place from June 5th to 7th in Tu Son, Bac Ninh.

In total, the eight best teams from the preliminary round will take part in the tournament. For the first time, exchange activities with colleagues from the Southeast Asian area are also carried out. This is a step towards internationalization and strengthening networks among journalists. In addition, the opening of the Press Cup 2025 in the south will take place on May 21 at 8 a.m. in the Phú Thọ Stadium in Ho-Chi-Minh-Stadt. In this qualification round, a total of eight teams from central and local media compete against each other in two groups:

The two best teams from this round qualify for the national final round in Từ Sơn, Bắc Ninh.
