Vietnam's culture in focus: Training for the preservation of historical treasures!

In Vietnam, a training course will take place in the second or third quarter of 2025 to improve consciousness and the expertise in the area of ​​evaluating the effects on the cultural heritage. The aim of this initiative is to increase the quality of human resources for employees in the cultural industry. A total of around 150 participants are expected, including civil servants and public employees from the ministries for culture, sports and tourism as well as local employees and board of directors of museums and historical relics.

The importance of cooperation initiatives in cultural and educational promotion is also highlighted by the recent cooperation between UNESCO and the Sovico Group. According to UNESCO Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, the chairwoman of Sovico, emphasized the importance of strategic cooperation over ten years.

This partnership is committed to promoting Vietnam's cultural activities through the UNESCO Creative Cities Network and promoting educational programs such as the 'Happy School' program. The agreement aims at sustainable development goals that are based on Vietnam's cultural, historical and traditional values ​​and strive for a global influence for a better future.

Since 2020, Sovico has already made considerable contributions to two important UNESCO initiatives. The first initiative, "Mobilizing Cultural Dynamics and Youth Participation for the Ha Noi Creative Capital", aims to include young people in creative projects to revive the city of Hanoi after pandemic, part of the "Viet Nam Creative Belt" strategy. A second initiative focuses on authorizing young people and women to achieve stronger connections and larger local advantages at UNESCO World Heritage Sites and creative cities in Vietnam.

UNESCO also gave Sovico advice on refining her corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy that is based on three pillars: culture and society, education and innovation as well as environment and resilience. With a new framework agreement, the cooperation between UNESCO and SOVICO is strengthened and future initiatives in the areas of culture, education and other important fields are guaranteed.
