Future of tourism: Diageo strengthens young talents in Da Nang!
The project "Learning for Life" (L4L) by Diageo Vietnam offers a pioneering initiative to support young people in the tourism and hotel sector. In cooperation with several institutions, the program aims to develop highly qualified, integrated and fair human resources for the service industry in Vietnam. The final ceremony for the training period 2024-2025 has recently taken place and marks an important step to improve the practical skills of students.
25 lecturers will be trained in 2024 to 2025, and hundreds of students receive comprehensive training. Over 60 % of the trainees are female, which underlines gender equality efforts in the industry. The curriculum is aimed at four main competence groups: digital skills, competencies of the 21st century, work preparation and cash skills in order to offer young people a well -founded basis for their future careers.

According to a survey, 95 % of the students stated that the course strengthened their self -confidence in the job search. Training materials created by industry experts focus on practical skills such as bartkeeping, men's transit, communication, teamwork, time management and personal branding. This innovative approach was assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Anh Tuan praised, who praised the training progress in the tourism and hotel sector.
In view of the challenges that the Vietnamese tourism industry is confronted with an annual need of over 40,000 new workers and a current capacity of only 15,000 to 20,000 workers, the program is particularly relevant. In addition, only 43 % of employees have formal training, while less than 10 % have a university degree. With this educational project,DIAGEO Vietnam is pursuing a long -term strategy that aims to promote the professional skills of 200,000 people worldwide by 2030.
