250,000 euros for motorhome parking spaces: Kusel is offering up tourism!
The Verbandsgemeinde of Kusel-Altenglan will receive significant funding of 250,000 euros from European funds to support rural areas. This was made possible by the Leader regional management of the Westrich-Glantal local working group. These financial resources will be used to modernize existing mobile home parking spaces and create new ones in order to strengthen sustainable tourism in the region.
The focus is on improving tourist-attractive locations, which in the future will be equipped with new digital infrastructure and modern supply systems. This also includes smart booking and billing systems that are intended to make the stay easier and optimized for campers.
Planned measures and locations
Six existing mobile home parking spaces will be extensively modernized:
- Burg Lichtenberg
- Altenglan an der Draisenstrecke
- Kusel an der Tuchfabrik
- Pfälzer Vitalbad
- Patersbach
- Potzberg
In addition, new parking spaces will be created at other locations, including:
- Niederalben
- Bosenbach am Schwimmbad
- Altenglan am Schwimmbad
- Schellweiler
The project is scheduled to start in mid-2026 and promises to be an attractive addition to the region's tourism landscape.
Support for campers
In addition, the offer for travelers is provided by platforms such as stellplatz.info enriched. This site offers a user-friendly search function for camping trips, which makes it possible to quickly find over 22,000 pitches and more than 23,000 campsites in Europe.
Thanks to interactive maps and the new Pitch & Camping app, users can make direct bookings, access real reviews and check LIVE availability. Parking space operators also have the opportunity to present their spaces effectively on the Internet and thereby increase visibility.
The combination of the funding for mobile home parking spaces and the modern tools for campers will help make the region even more attractive for travelers and sustainably improve the tourism infrastructure.
