Poreč gets luxurious five-star resort: a dream come true!

The Valamar Riviera d.d. has announced an ambitious project to transform the former Hotel Pical. The new Poreč Valamar Pical Resort will be designed as a luxury five-star resort and is scheduled to open in 2026. The cost of this project is 139 million euros. The resort will be built in a picturesque location in a pine forest by the sea, just a 10-minute walk from the old town of Poreč.

With a planned 514 rooms and suites equipped with pillow menus, luxurious cosmetics and modern technology, the resort is aimed at couples, solo travelers and families. In particular, special offers for children are offered to ensure that the resort is attractive all year round. One of the main attractions will be the 1,200 square meter Maro World children's center, which will offer numerous activities for the youngest guests.

Integration into the community

Particular attention is paid to integrating the resort into the Poreč community. The designated resort will not be isolated but designed as part of urban life. In addition to the children's center, public spaces, sports areas and walking paths as well as a redesign of the beach are planned. Access for the local population to swimming pools, sports fields and wellness facilities is an important element of the concept.

Up to eight themed restaurants and ten bars are offered for the culinary experience, including a gastronomic offer from a Michelin-star chef. A spacious 1,300 square meter wellness area will include various saunas, massage and aromatherapy offerings as well as eleven indoor and outdoor pools. An aqua park for children will provide additional fun and entertainment.

Sports and leisure activities

The Pical Resort will also offer a variety of sports and leisure options, including tennis courts, cycling trails and kayaks and SUPs. Basketball and volleyball courts will also be available to accommodate sports-loving guests. In addition, a congress center specifically designed for business events and conferences in Poreč will be established to promote the region's economic development.
