Sports adventure: Children conquer Gramatneusiedl on PowerKids Day!
On September 4, 2025, the PowerKids Day of the ÖVP holiday game took place in Gramatneusiedl, where around 40 children were active in the sports hall. The event, which was led by fitness trainer Eva Luef, offered a colorful program with various stations that challenged skill, endurance and team spirit. Popular activities included the “cauldron” game with a spinning mat, the “slide,” the “cradle,” and the “jump into the water.” Hula hooping, somersaults, handstands, yoga exercises, balloon runs and various ball stations such as football, baseball and basketball were also offered.
The organizers of the ÖVP Gramatneusiedl kids events team, Teresa Schorn, Regina Wilmsen, Barbara Pucsala and Susanne Fensl, were pleased with the children's high level of enthusiasm. During the breaks, the young participants were able to enjoy healthy snacks such as fruit, vegetables, muesli bars and milk rolls. The team's positive conclusion suggests a successful event, which has already initiated planning for the next holiday games in 2026 in the sixth season.
Team building as the key to success
Team building events like PowerKids Day play a crucial role in strengthening cohesion and team spirit. Targeted activities are essential, especially in international companies where employees with different cultural backgrounds, languages and working methods work together. According to the website teamgeist.com Team building games help overcome hurdles and promote trust and understanding.
An example of an innovative team event is the Global tabtour®, a digital scavenger hunt that connects teams at different locations. Equipped with tablets, participants can simultaneously take part in a large team event where they collect waypoints using GPS coordinates. TabCloud offers individual adaptation of tasks that can be adapted to the needs of the respective company. An optional live broadcast of the award ceremony from different cities celebrates the shared challenge and strengthens the sense of community.
Overall, the combination of fun and sporting activity at the ÖVP holiday game shows how important such engaging formats are to not only motivate the children, but also to teach valuable lessons in teamwork and cooperation.
