ABY Reisen bankruptcy: Thousands of upcoming Abii trips affected!

DIE ABY GmbH, a tour operator specializing in ABI and final trips, filed for bankruptcy in mid-April 2023. As Travelvor9 , all the trips affected were canceled last Friday and the travelers concerned were informed. In view of the current season, no customers are currently traveling in vacation areas, so that withdrawal actions are not necessary.

As early as mid -2022, a creditor had applied for bankruptcy against ABY GmbH, which finally led to insolvency administration in December 2022. The final application for bankruptcy then followed in April 2023. The managing director of the 2018 company was Julius Felix Oberhokamp. On the ABY Reisen website there is currently no indication of bankruptcy, which is an information gap for affected customers.

emergency number and reimbursement

The German travel security fund (DRSF) plans to reimburse the customer funds paid. The repayments should begin in a few weeks. The DRSF will actively contact the customers concerned as soon as ABY GmbH has transmitted the required information. For questions about bankruptcy, ABY GmbH has set up a hotline that can be reached from today, May 19, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the number (+49) 30 25 89 87 253

A preliminary insolvency administrator has already been appointed to lead the process. The bankruptcy of ABY Reisen follows on similar bankruptcies from other organizers such as FTI and WE-Flytour. These developments have also set the competition in motion. For example, the Berlin organizer has already checked capacities and prepared offers for affected customers in order to catch some of the travelers and offer them alternatives.

The current situation is a significant burden for many families and students. The uncertainty about the funds paid and possible trips ensures additional pressure in an emotionally charged phase before the school was completed. However, the efforts of the DRSF offer a ray of hope in this tense location.

The bankruptcy of Aby Reisen again shows the challenges with which the travel industry is confronted, especially in times of economic uncertainty and high -level seasonality. While the company moves out of bankruptcy, it remains to be seen how the customers concerned can represent their interests and claims.
