Aeschi Tourism: Family adventure on the new Chugeli trail!

Aeschi, Schweiz - On May 17, 2025, the general meeting of Aeschi Tourism took place. This gathered members and interested parties to look back on the club year 2024 and to discuss future projects. At the center of the discussion was the NRP project for the repositioning of Aeschi as a family destination, which was continued in 2024 with great commitment. Jonas Lengacher, the President of Aeschi Tourism, emphasized the need to actively address visitors and create incentives to lure them into the region.

One of the most remarkable projects is the new ball path that opened on April 5, 2025. This path runs between Aeschiried and Aeschi and offers visitors twelve ball tracks. In addition, the offer also includes spherical machines, continuous directions and regional sales outlets that make the family outing an experience.

planned activities for 2025

Numerous exciting activities are on the schedule for the current year. In addition to the final implementation of the NRP project, new themed paths in the Suldtal/Aeschiried area are also planned. Particularly noteworthy are the events that Aeschi tourism will organize for the federal celebration and the alpine deduction. These events should contribute to the attractiveness of the destination.

Family-friendly hikes in the Chugeli-Trail

One of the new attractions for families is the Chugeli trail. This approx. 4.7 kilometer hiking trail with its ten Chugeli tracks offers an entertaining opportunity to explore the surroundings. The project was realized in cooperation with the builders of the Chugelibahn, Land owners and Aeschi Tourismus. The starting point is located at the “Schulhaus Aeschiried” post bus stop, and the hike takes about 1.5 hours (pure term).

To use the Chugeli tracks, wooden balls for CHF 5.00 can be purchased at a machine at the stop. A free hiking map is available in the Postbus Hüsi, right next to the machine. The recommended journey takes place by public transport, since the parking facilities in Aeschiried are limited and quick.

hiking experiences and safety instructions

The Chugeli trail leads through agricultural areas and offers intensive closeness to nature and residents. During the hike, visitors have a toilet at the start and at the village square Aeschi, and a barbecue area nearby invites you to rest. However, it should be noted that there are no picnic options along the way.

The trail is not suitable for prams and is recommended for children from 4 years. A “Chugeli Trail Knigge” was drawn up for additional understanding and peaceful coexistence. The participants were also pointed out to the opening times of the attractions, which are daily from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

aeschi tourism continues to focus on the development of family -friendly offers and would like to position the region as an attractive destination for families. Further information on the new offers and activities can be found on the websites of Radio Beo and aeschi tourism become.
