Extensive construction work

The renovation work is necessary because numerous damage to the old concrete roadway was discovered in the southern section of the A93 near Regensburg. This damage required ongoing repair work, which is why the replacement of the concrete roadways with asphalt surfaces and the renewal of the roadway substructure to a depth of approximately 1.5 meters are planned. The exit from Munich at the Regensburg-Süd junction will remain closed until mid-May 2025; the alternative is via Bad Abbach.

Other restrictions include that it is not possible to cross from the A93 from Munich onto the A3 in the direction of Passau, so diversions will be signposted. These measures are intended to ensure that traffic flow can be made as smoothly as possible despite the extensive construction work.
