Champions League final in Munich: tourist storm and mega events!
On May 31, 2025, the big Champions League final will take place in the Allianz Arena in Munich, an event that arouses great interest even without FC Bayern Munich taking part. Despite the fact that FC Bayern was eliminated in the quarter-finals by Inter Milan, hotels and restaurants in the city are optimistic.
The Bavarian Hotel and Restaurant Association expects 90,000 overnight stays by non-resident guests. This will lead to an additional tourism-related turnover of 46 million euros expected by the city of Munich. The economic impact would have been significantly less if FC Bayern had reached the final.
Advertising and festivities in the city
In the days before the final, the city is dominated by advertising posters and banners from a Cola sponsor, whose advertising face Florian Wirtz is in Munich. The anticipation for the event can also be felt through the planned performances by Linkin Park and David Garrett in the stadium. Ticket prices are variable and range from 180 euros for the cheapest seats to 950 euros for the most expensive seats, while medium tickets are around 650 euros.
Munich will host the Champions League final for the fifth time, following previous editions in 1979, 1993, 1997 and 2012 when Bayern lost the final on penalties to Chelsea. The city has set up three fan zones for the event, which can accommodate a total of over 60,000 fans:
- Odeonsplatz: 16.000 Plätze für Inter-Fans
- Königsplatz: 23.000 Plätze für PSG-Fans
- Olympiapark: „Champions Festival“ für weitere 23.000 Fans
The program in the Olympic Park starts on Thursday and attracts fans to Munich with a wide range of offerings. The day before the final, the “UEFA Ultimate Tournament” will take place in the SAP Garden, in which football greats such as Lothar Matthäus, Kaka, Luis Figo and Clarence Seedorf will take part.
VIP experiences and ticket categories
VIP hospitality packages are available for viewers seeking an exceptional experience. These not only offer first-class views from the best seats, but also access to luxury hospitality lounges and comprehensive travel arrangements including hotel bookings, flights and transfers.
The Allianz Arena, home of FC Bayern Munich, has a capacity of over 75,000 fans and impresses with its LED lighting. In addition to the VIP seats, various seating categories are also offered that are attractive to both casual visitors and passionate fans:
| Seat category | Details |
