Museum Day in Ergoldsbach: Discover the history and culture!

Ergoldsbach, Deutschland - On May 22, 2025, an inspiring project tour tour took place on the occasion of the International Museum Day, organized by the Local Action Group (LAG) Landkreis Landshut e. V. The event focused on the Ergoldsbach market town and offered the participants the opportunity to gain valuable insights into local projects.

The first stop of the tour was the Goldbach Museum, which was open to the public on this special day. Mayor Ludwig Robold and the LAG managing director Karoline Bartha welcomed those present and led them through the new permanent exhibition "Z'samm", which was curated by Ludwig Kunert, the chairman of the museum association. This exhibition not only offered information about the local history, but also about the special personalities of the region and the development steps of the museum.

commitment and promotion

Another important aspect of the inspection was the report on the costs, the financing and the support programs of the museum involved. This is particularly relevant because the projects in the Landshut region are supported by the LEADER funding program. The fital course, which was developed in cooperation with TSV Ergoldsbach, was the second station. This range of movements was specially tailored to the needs of footballers and the Fit50plus sports group and is available to all residents of the LAG region free of charge.

Karoline Bartha thanked the Ergoldsbach market and the Goldbach Museum e. V. for close cooperation. LAG is also dedicated to central topics such as quality of life, regional identity, art and culture, monument protection as well as business development and tourism development.

call to support rural spaces

An important point of the event was the current petition of Elard, the umbrella organization of the local action groups, to ensure the promotion of rural areas. By June 6, 2025, interested parties have the opportunity to give their voice for this important initiative to secure future projects. Further information is available on the Elard website.

On the International Museum Day, which took place on May 18, 2025, the social role of museums and the opportunity to participate in various analog and digital actions should be emphasized. The participating museums in Bavaria were developed with the support of the LAG and promoted via leader to facilitate access to culture and to raise awareness of the cultural treasures of the region.

Visitors were invited to experience the events planned in the Goldbach Museum, including a tour of the permanent exhibition and a walk to the FitalParcours in the local recreation area. The journey was recommended in an environmentally friendly way to support the region's climate goals. It was to be taken care of meals while participation was free of charge.

For everyone who is interested in the event, more information about the International Museum Day and the open museums in Bavaria are available on the LAG website and other relevant platforms.
