CDU members from Pattensen celebrate volunteering on Berlin trip!
In May 2025, committed members of the CDU from Pattensen and the Langde local association took on a joint trip to Berlin, which was under the motto "Thank you, volunteering". Member of the Bundestag Tilman Kuban had invited the participants to appreciate their voluntary commitment, which significantly shapes the local work of the CDU. Dirk-Hermann Frank and Stefanie Behrends from Pattensen-Mitte as well as Astrid Schunder from Koldingen and Sebastian Krüger from Jeinsen took part in the trip.
The tour to Berlin took place for several days and included a varied program. The participants had the opportunity for a personal exchange with Tilman Kuban and were able to attend a plenary session in the German Bundestag. Another highlight of the trip was to visit the Berlin-Hohenschönhausen memorial, which offered a deep insight into German history.

In addition, there was a classic city tour that presented some of the best -known sights in Berlin. Another item on the program was to visit the tear palace on Friedrichstrasse, which is reminiscent of the history of German division. There was also a detour to the Federal Ministry of Defense on the agenda.
The participants expressed very positive about the trip and thanked Tilman Kuban for the invitation and the valuable impressions that they could collect during their stay. They appreciated the open discussions and the personal exchange that made this stay special.
Four members took part in the leadership from the local association Sehnde: Jens Reimann, Michael Prehn, Finn Georg Wilk and Sven Karl Wiegand, who were accompanied by Sven Schne from the Ilten local association. They too was grateful for the opportunity to take part in this extraordinary journey and to experience the political reality in Berlin up close. The spectators agree that such initiatives are important in order to promote and appreciate the voluntary commitment in society.
