Especially the app Polarsteps has established itself in the digital travel sector, with around 15 million users worldwide. The application allows you to document travel by linking locations, organizing photos and notes, and creating interactive maps. Latest features include an AI-driven route planner that makes personalized suggestions based on previous travel data.

Suitable for travel route planningTraviGate, a new app that has been available in the App Store since March and is currently only available in English. It allows users to select travelers, duration, budget and activities, and shows curated expert offers as well as information about how to get there and where to go. TraviGate is available for iOS, while an Android version is planned. The price for an annual subscription is 77 cents per week or a one-off fee of 1.99 euros per week for short trips.
The app is for mountain loversPeakFinderparticularly useful. This application enables the identification of mountain peaks and also works offline, using GPS data and a built-in elevation model to display peaks in 360-degree panoramas. Over a million peaks are stored in the database. PeakFinder is available for both iOS and Android and costs 5.99 euros.
Last but not least, the app offersSOS – Global Emergency Numbersan important functionality for travelers. It lists emergency numbers for the police, emergency doctors and fire departments for a total of 228 countries and allows you to make a direct call with one tap. The app integrates area codes and automatically transmits the location via GPS. It is available free of charge for iOS and Android.
