Discover Hahnenklee: Free tour of the town with Pfanni!

A guided hike called “Searching for Traces with Pfanni” will take place in Hahnenklee on Tuesday, May 20, 2025. The event offers participants an exciting opportunity to get to know the surrounding area better. The hike is organized by Hahnenklee Tourismus GmbH and begins at 10:00 a.m. at the tourist information center at Rathausstrasse 9. Participants can expect an approximately two-hour journey through time through the picturesque landscape, although we recommend registering at the tourist information center.

The hike is free of charge for guests who have a guest card. Other participants have to pay a symbolic contribution of 2.00 euros. The event requires a minimum number of participants of two people and brings together a maximum of twenty people to guarantee a personal atmosphere.

Hiking trails and attractions

Hahnenklee is not only known for its guided hikes, but also for an extensive network of hiking trails that delight nature lovers. One of the highlights is the premium hiking trail Liebesbankweg, which stretches over approx. 7 km and offers attractions such as individual benches, a water playground and a water treading pool. There are also puzzle elements such as the Liebesbankweg Rally, which is particularly exciting for families with children.

In addition, the themed hiking trail “Mensch & Wald” is offered, which connects Hahnenklee with Goslar and deals with historical professions. In addition to the “Search for Traces with Pfanni” hike, guests also have the opportunity to experience guided hikes to the Upper Harz Water Management UNESCO World Heritage Site on Wednesdays and hikes to the mountain farmers’ market in Clausthal-Zellerfeld on Thursdays. On Saturday the little ones can take part in the children's treasure hunt with Heidi, which takes place from May to September.

Special features for hikers

Another important concern is taking dogs into account during hikes. Dogs are allowed to run freely in the forest, but they must be kept on a leash during the breeding and breeding season, which runs from April 1st to July 15th. For dog owners, there are dog-friendly restaurants in the area as well as bag dispensers in the Hahnenklee spa park.

Barrier-free hiking trails are available for people with mobility limitations. These include various routes such as the northern wheelchair hiking trail with the Kurhausweg and the southern wheelchair hiking trail along Rathausstrasse. Information about the hiking trails, maps and further details are available at the Tourist Information Office.

The “Search for Traces with Pfanni” hike is not only an excellent opportunity to experience the beauty of the region, but also offers a variety of options for families, dog owners and people with special needs. Those interested can visit the website My Goslar or Rooster clover inform you about further details and, if necessary, confirm your participation.
