Experience heroes up close: interactive exhibition in the Aarau city museum!

In the Aarau City Museum, the interactive exhibition “loved, praised, hypted - via hero: inside, role models and idols”. This special exhibition will be shown by July 6, 2025 and attracts visitors: inside with its wide range of topics and experiences. The exhibition illuminates idols from various areas such as sports, showbiz and politics and questions the common stereotypical heroes in our society.

A central feature of the exhibition is the integration of artificial intelligence, which is available as an accompaniment in several languages, including Swiss German, German, French, Italian and English. This innovative technology enables visitors to experience personal adventure trips and even experience their own hero names. This makes the exhibition the first of its kind in Switzerland that uses AI interactively.

The exhibition offers a variety of interactive experiences, which include a selfie station, a children's lane with puzzles and mini games, as well as analog slamping desks. Visitors can also look forward to the AI ​​functions that not only assign them superpowers and sidekicks, but also create individual adventure travel in poem form. In the end you take a souvenir photo home.

In June, several special events are planned as part of the exhibition. On June 25th, a lecture on artificial intelligence and Deepfakes will be offered. In addition, on June 29, there will be a tour with the popular Cosplayer Florian, which is very popular.

In addition to the main exhibition, the city museum presents an accompanying foyer exhibition entitled "Kaboom-African Comics", which can be seen until June 8th. The Ringier Bildarchiv, which includes over 7 million pictures, shows an impressive collection of homeestory and pictures about everyday hero: inside and celebrities.

The opening times of the city museum are from Tuesday to Friday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The museum remains closed on Mondays. Admission prices are CHF 8 for adults, for students: inside and students CHF 5, while children up to 16 years have free admission.

The exhibition "loved, praised, hypted" not only offers an exciting insight into the world of idols, but also numerous activities for young and old. It encourages the importance of role models in today's time and highlights the role of artificial intelligence in cultural mediation.
