Festival of flavors: Celebrate Vietnamese coffee and tea at Gigamall!
Promoting Vietnamese coffee and tea culture is the focus of an initiative launched in 2023 by the newspaper Nguoi Lao Dong. The aim of the “Honoring Vietnamese Coffee and Tea” program is to recognize individuals who contribute to the preservation and development of Vietnamese agriculture and culture. The event aims not only to highlight the value of Vietnamese coffee and tea, but also to increase their economic efficiency and provide international recognition. This is particularly significant for the local coffee industry, which is one of the cornerstones of the Vietnamese economy.
The third festival “In Honor of Vietnamese Coffee and Tea” will take place in 2025 at the Gigamall Shopping Center in Ho Chi Minh City. This opening event marks the start of various summer activities that will last until August. Several attractions are planned, including a summer festival campaign with the theme “Safari Adventure” and a summer private sale with attractive discounts of up to 50% in all stores.
An extensive entertainment offering
In addition, Gigamall will offer an extensive entertainment program using shoppertainment technologies. These include the Light City High-Tech Entertainment Education Area on the 6th floor, the Alpha Games entertainment complex on the B1 floor, as well as the rainbow Jungle and a multi-sensory interactive exhibition on the works of Van Gogh and Monet on the 8th floor. Mini games and special gifts are also planned for visitors, which will loosen up the market environment and increase visitor numbers.
In the vibrant metropolis of Ho Chi Minh City, known for its many cafés, Vietnamese coffee is also celebrated outside of the festival. Millions of tourists and locals enjoy the wide range of coffees and teas in numerous locations. From small, charming cafes to large chains like Phuc Long, the city offers a diverse selection.
Creative cafe concepts in Saigon
The cityscape is complemented by original cafes, which often feature animals, special decorations and unique themes. One of the most famous is this CATFE, a Vietnamese cafe that caters to cat lovers. About 40 cats of different breeds live here, and the entrance fee of 98,000 VND includes cold drinks and snacks. That too Oasis Cafe, known for its koi carp and water tanks, has prices ranging from VND15,000 to VND55,000.
Another popular destination is this Cafe Apartments, which houses nine floors of quirky cafes and shops and is particularly popular with younger visitors and tourists. Prices here range from 70,000 to 120,000 VND, further diversifying the selection.
In conclusion, both the upcoming festival and the continued popularity of Ho Chi Minh City's cafes highlight the cultural importance of Vietnamese coffee and tea. They contribute to the creation of a unique experience space that combines both tradition and innovative ideas.
