Nudist swinger vacation with politics: Mannheim's vying for freedom!

City councilor Julien Ferrat (Die Mannheimer) was satisfied after the registration deadline for his planned “nudist swingers holiday with a political program”. A total of 22 participants registered bindingly, which emerged from an interested group of 75 people. Among those who have accepted are 6 from Mannheim, 3 from the Rhein-Neckar district, 2 from the Rhein-Pfalz district and the rest are distributed among participants from all over Germany. The group consists of 14 men and 8 women. PZ News reports that the trip will take place in August for eight days to Cap d'Agde, known for the nudist resort Village Naturiste. Each participant bears the cost of the trip themselves, although a hut for ten people has already been booked in the nudist complex, with accommodation given primarily to Mannheim residents.

Non-Mannheim residents should be put in touch to rent their own accommodation. A “training camp with outdoor sex on the nudist beach” is planned in advance in Mannheim, which will take place without media exposure. The city councilors emphasized that the trip offered an opportunity to engage with political life in Agde and to promote closeness to citizens.

Criticism and support

The reaction to Ferrat's initiative has been mixed. The CDU has clearly positioned itself against the call. Christian Hötting, district chairman of the CDU, described the action as “brain-burnt” and expressed concerns about possible political damage. Meanwhile, the city administration has remained silent so far and has not commented on the planned trip. Ferrat sees the action calmly and explains that he sees the trip as an alternative to classic political trips. He also refers to the state funding of the naturist village in the 1970s, which serves as an example of successful urban development.

Interestingly, participants from other cities such as Berlin and Rostock also registered, even though the registration deadline was May 31st. Ferrat described the trip as an “unforgettable nudist swingers holiday with an interesting political program”, with the central question being: “What can the city of Mannheim learn from the city of Agde?” Discussions with the tourism office, the city administration and hotel operators are being planned to promote exchange and understanding between the two cities. Mannheim24 highlights that Ferrat is known for his creative approaches, including a “nude consultation” and a nude photo article in the Official Journal, which have already brought him attention in the past.
