New specialists for tourism: Ceremonial diploma presentation in Thun!

On May 21, 2025, the ceremonial graduation of 30 students who are preparing for a career in the tourism sector took place at the Hotel Deltapark in Thun. These graduates have successfully completed their training and are now ready to tackle the challenges of the industry. Among them were 19 participants from the Bernese Oberland, which underlines the regional relevance of this event. Organizing this celebration was an opportunity to recognize the dedication and achievements of the students.

The achievement of Elias Gemperli from Alpnach Dorf, who wrote the best thesis with a grade of 5.7, was particularly highlighted. In his work, entitled “How can ski-independent winter offers increase the attractiveness and utilization of small mountain railway companies?”, he called for solutions to the challenges in the tourism industry. The work was commissioned by Wierihornbahnen AG in Diemtigtal, and Elias received recognition for his achievement.

The best overall grade was achieved by Melanie Reinhard from Grindelwald with a grade of 5.4. Her happy moment was rewarded with a book voucher and warm applause from those present. These honors not only demonstrate individual excellence, but also the high quality of training in the field of tourism.

An overview of the graduates and their achievements reflects the variety of topics and interests that were covered during their training. The commitment of these new professionals could have a significant impact on tourism development in the region.
