Hue fights for tourists: Missing investments slow down the beach room!

Hue, Vietnam - In early summer 2025, the beaches of Thuan showed themselves in Hue as a popular destination for tourists who came to swim and enjoy fresh seafood. Despite this popularity, the willingness to spend the visitors from Hue with an average of around 2 million and per person is low, which is considered to be worrying by experts. Ms. Bui Mai Chi, a tourist, expressed her dissatisfaction with inadequate investments in the beach facilities in the region. These critical voices illustrate the need for a fundamental upgrading of the tourist infrastructure.

Mr. Dinh Manh Thang, Vice President of the Vietnam Tourism Association, emphasized the urgency of first -class services and high -quality investors to attract demanding guests. Apart from the beauty of the landscape, Hue remains behind other Vietnamese cities, since only 24 of the 887 accommodation companies in the city have over 3-5 stars, with a total of 3,424 rooms. The city also has no high -class international hotel brands, which is in contrast to the neighboring cities of Nang and Quang Nam.

Hue's infrastructure in the focus

The continuing preference of tourists to spend the night in Da Nang and Hoi, even though they visit Hue, shows the challenges with which the city is confronted. The local government has already taken measures to attract investments in the tourism sector. This includes a decision to support investments, which means that strategic investors such as Laguna Lang Co and Vingroup were able to invest in the region. Projects such as the Langco Bay Retreat and the SBH Gloria Hue Resort are already in operation and are intended to help increase the city's tourist attractiveness.

Despite these investments, however, a lack of large hotel brands and strategic investors remains an important problem for comprehensive projects. Tran Thi Hoai Tram, the director of the tourism authority, announced that the region is actively working on eliminating bottlenecks and promoting investments. The local authorities implement solutions to improve the business environment and increase competitiveness.

Commitment of the authorities

The city undertakes to shorten administrative procedures and create a transparent competitive environment in order to attract both local and international investors. City leaders are open to the recommendations of companies and investors and are ready to respond to their needs. Nevertheless, the dissonance between the tourist potential of Hue and the actual infrastructure remains a challenge that needs to be overcome.
