Haslach, Deutschland - On June 2, 2025, the general meeting of the Black Forest Tourismus Kinzigtal e.V. took place in the old Capuchin monastery in Haslach, in which around 90 participants recorded a record participation. The assembly offered guided tours in the visitor mine blessings for the mood. The central issues of the meeting were the tourist development of the region, the discharge of the board and the election of the auditors.
An important decision by the ordinary members was the new contribution regulations, which will come into force from 2026. In this context, managing director Isabella Schmider presented the successful digital measures of the association, including multilingual website offers, a growing social media presence and an innovative content creator weekend. In addition, 26 prospectus stands were set up at highly frequented tourist locations, funded by the Leader regional budget.
Kinzigtalsteig: New hiking route in planning
In a previous opening workshop in October 2022 in Gutach, the basics for the hiking stalk were laid. Various participation groups took part in this meeting, including local Black Forest Associations, municipal representatives, responsible persons from forestry and interested citizens of the region. The goal was a common exchange of ideas that formed the basis for the development of the hiking trail.
The project group, which consists of representatives of the Black Forest Association, tourisms and members of the marketing committee of the Black Forest Tourismus Kinzigtal e.V., meets regularly to advance the planning. In 2023, the first route designs were coordinated and the route was checked for tourist suitability and certifiable aspects. The route experts in the Kinzigtal have set important key points for the course of the hiking route that weigh up all interests.
sustainability in focus
Christoph Kunz from Schwarzwald Tourismus GmbH gave an outlook on the “Konus - Digital” project during the meeting. This project aims to strengthen sustainable mobility in the Black Forest. It is another step towards environmentally friendly tourism in the region.
The event ended with a common get-together, which offered the participants the opportunity to exchange person and to establish networks. The Kinzigtalsteig is therefore not only a new hiking trail, but also a valuable initiative to strengthen tourism and the community in the Black Forest.
