Linda takes us into the chaotic logo! -Adventure in the elevator!
On June 10, 2025, the well-known children's editorial team “logo!” in a special broadcast the process of creating their contributions. Moderator Linda wants to show young viewers how a show is created. On her way to the editorial office, however, she experiences unexpected situations that make her path anything but straightforward. An elevator not only takes you to the editorial office, but also directly to a “logo!” explanatory video.
Linda finds herself confronted in this digital world, which makes her somewhat uncomfortable. Uncertainties cross her path, but graphic designer Tim is at her side. With his help, a door is built into the explanatory video through which she finally enters a new part of her experiences. Shortly afterwards, she is interrupted in the middle of filming by child reporter Lia, and Linda's chaos story continues. These unpredictable twists and turns make the show exciting and educational at the same time and show how dynamic the production of news content is.
International Children's Rights Day
Also on November 20th, International Children's Rights Day, the ZDF news edition “heute journal” will receive support from a talented “logo!” reporter. Dahlia will host a special news block where she will select topics alongside two other children, Emma and Ben. This four-minute block will be broadcast at 9:45 p.m. and underlines the importance of young people's participation in media matters.
Before the show, Dahlia takes part in an editorial meeting where she develops ideas and collaborates with the editors of “logo!” and the “heute journal” in more depth. Constanze Knuckles, head of nonfiction at ZDF's main children's and youth department, emphasizes how important it is that children can express their opinions. The collaboration not only offers a platform for children, but also highlights the change in perspective, which Gundula Gause, the presenter of “heute journal”, sees positively.
A look at the working world of children
“logo!” presenter Sherif Rizkallah is starting another exciting project with “logo! extra: When Children Work” takes a trip to Bolivia. In the city of Potosi, known for its mines, he sheds light on the difficult living conditions of working children and young people. This documentary will now be available in the ZDFmediathek and will be broadcast on November 20, 2024 after the live news from “logo!” broadcast on KiKA at 8:00 p.m.
The initiatives surrounding “logo!” demonstrate the editorial team's commitment to strengthening children's voices and bringing their perspectives to the forefront as they creatively find their place in cross-media reporting.
