The Mouse Tower: A Historical Heritage

The Bingen Mouse Tower has not only touristic but also historical significance. The original tower was destroyed during the Thirty Years' War, but in the 19th century it was rebuilt in a neo-Gothic style according to plans by cathedral builder Ernst Friedrich Zwirner. From this point on, the tower also served as a signal station for navigation on the Rhine. It also offers visitors a breathtaking view of the Middle Rhine Valley and the city of Bingen.

The best way to experience the Mouse Tower with its impressive views is as part of the city's guided tours. When the water level is normal, visitors can easily reach the tower by boat; If the water is low, you can also cross a sandbank on foot.

Plan your trips to this historic landmark and enjoy an unforgettable experience on the Rhine!
