Nuremberg loses direct flight to Hamburg – what are the alternatives?
From June 23, 2025, Eurowings will discontinue a direct connection from Nuremberg to Hamburg. This decision was made due to insufficient booking numbers, as the Albrecht Dürer Airport announced in a message on Facebook. The airline's attitude is received differently by passengers; Some users complain about unattractive departure times and the frequent postponements of flights. However, it should be noted that the connection to Hamburg can also be easily reached by ICE.
Nuremberg Airport, IATA code NUE, is an international airport in Germany that serves the area of Middle Franconia and the Burgenstrasse. It offers non-stop passenger flights to 61 destinations in 19 countries. The current flight planning includes five domestic flights from Nuremberg.
