Dong Nai Province
Dong Nai is the largest province in southern Vietnam, located about 30 kilometers northeast of Ho Chi Minh City. The province borders Cambodia to the north and has developed over 300 years from the deposits of the Dong Nai River. Various ethnic groups live in the region, including the Kinh, Hoa, Cho Ro and Cham, which contribute to the cultural diversity.
The best time to travel to Dong Nai is the dry season from November to April, ideal for outdoor activities and nature exploration. During this time, coffee blossoms bloom and the landscape becomes colorful. From Ho Chi Minh City, getting to Dong Nai is possible by bus, train or your own vehicle, making the region an attractive destination for travelers.
Visible attractions in Dong Nai include Cat Tien National Park, a UNESCO biosphere reserve, and the Buu Long tourist area, which is a miniature of the famous Ha Long Bay. Culinary specialties such as southern sour soup, grilled shrimp and Bien Hoa fish salad are also part of the gastronomic variety that Dong Nai has to offer.
The festival is not only a celebration of local agricultural products, but also an important step in promoting tourism and culture in the region. Visitors and locals can look forward to a variety of activities and experiences that highlight the uniqueness of Dong Nai and contribute to the appreciation of Vietnamese products.
