A Midsummer Night's Dream in Regensburg: Get your tickets for the ocean event now!
On June 1, 2025, the second edition of the spectacular SUMMER NIGHT BALL will take place at the Regensburg Theater under the motto “THE SHIP OF DREAMS”. On this special evening, Bismarckplatz is transformed into a luxurious ocean liner and offers guests an unforgettable ball night. The program is scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m., but is subject to change.
The ball night begins with a festive carriage ride, followed by a champagne reception and a musical entrée. The big opening gala on Bismarckplatz will be filled with highlights from opera and operetta. Participants include the music theater ensemble, the choir, the dance theater company and the Regensburg Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of GMD Stefan Veselka. Sebastian Ritschel will moderate the event, while the dance studio Ritmo will present the debutants.
Versatile program and highlights
The gala is accompanied by a waltz with a live orchestra and also features a performance by the Thilo Wolf Big Band, which provides ballroom sound and soul. At midnight, guests can expect the midnight gala with star guests such as Beatrice Reece and Matti Klein.
But the SUMMER NIGHT BALL does not only consist of classical music. In the Neuhaussaal, the Markus Engelstädter Band will perform pop and rock, while DJ Quickie will perform disco partizani and hits from the 80s and 90s. In the foyer of the Neuhaussaal, the Jörg Seidel Swing Band will present jazz and swing and the duo NOVA will impress with tango sounds. The Probebühne 2 also provided pop and disco grooves with DJane Nightingale and the Mayr brothers.
Culinary highlights and tickets
An extensive culinary offering is available to ensure guests' physical well-being, including hot and cold snacks in the bistro as well as a sweet midnight snack. A traditional white sausage breakfast is available from 3:00 a.m. The ticket variants are designed flexibly:
