Spanien, Land - Sunny Cars reports a positive trend in the German rental car market. In the first half of 2024/2025, the company recorded an increase in bookings by 7 % and an increase in sales of 13 %. With over 500,000 reservations, the demand for rental cars is encouraging. Managing Director Kai Sannwald and Torsten Lehmann emphasize that early birds in particular contribute to this success. A third of the customers reserve their rental cars significantly in advance. The average advance booking period is 81 days, with January with over 20 % of the total bookings out of the end.

The most popular rental car destinations are still Spain, followed by Greece, Italy, Portugal and the USA. Bookings from Germany, France and Croatia are also strongly represented. Sunny Cars relies on targeted investments in employees and technology to secure and expand its market position.
