SV Aichstetten: Championship and promotion after 75 years of triumph!

With 60 points from 26 games, SV Aichstetten won the championship in the A3 Bodensee district league and thus secured promotion to the district league for the first time. This is a historic success for the club, which has not been able to celebrate such a promotion in the last 75 years. After the 4-1 win against FC Wangen II, coach Fabian Durach emphasized the importance of humility and discipline in the team, which served as the basis for this triumph. It was not foreseeable at the beginning of the season that the championship title would be the goal, as the initial goal of the season was not to be relegated. This shows how expectations were exceeded, which was also from FuPa Württemberg was documented.

The decisive victory came despite the team being nervous at the start. Timo Stölzle gave Aichstetten the lead in the 3rd minute after Sebastian Zeh put him in the spotlight. Zeh was the key person in this game as he also set up Luis Fleck's second goal in the 15th minute. Stölzle, who was unstoppable that day, then scored two more goals in the 39th and 55th minutes, each time supported by Zeh. Wangen was only able to score a goal in stoppage time through Daniel Wellmann to make it 1:4, but without dangerously intervening in the game.

Achievements and plans

The official championship celebration is still pending, but plans have already been made for a final trip to Mallorca. Coach Durach will not be making this trip, but will take part in the celebrations. The team has exercised its promotion rights and is looking forward to the new challenges in the district league, where the goal for the season for 2025/26 is to stay in the league. Despite a few injuries, the squad was able to remain stable thanks to clear game ideas and a strong team spirit. Only three players will be moving to the old men's team, while Yannick Daiber, a new addition, will be signed for the coming season.

SV Aichstetten will go into the new season as a promoted team with a big heart. The team spirit and collaboration between the first and second teams have proven to be key success factors and this is a sign that the club is well placed to face the challenges ahead. Aichstetten is more than just a team; it is a community that is looking forward to the next level. Further information and statistics about the last games can be found at Swabian.
