KLM – An airline with tradition
KLM is the oldest airline still flying under its original name and was awarded the APEX World Class Award in 2024. Founded in 1919, the airline has been operating for almost 106 years, having merged with Air France in 2004 to form the Air-France KLM Group. The company is based in Amsterdam and operates a fleet of over 110 aircraft flying to more than 145 destinations worldwide.
KLM is characterized by extensive flight connections. Up to five flights are offered daily from Frankfurt to Amsterdam, with connections to over 160 destinations. Travel classes on offer include Economy, Premium Comfort and Business Class, while passengers have access to an extensive in-flight entertainment offering including films, TV shows, music and games. Additionally, paid Wi-Fi is available on select flights.
Frequent flyer program and anniversary promotion
KLM offers an attractive frequent flyer program called Flying Blue, which allows participants to earn miles while flying. To mark the route's 90th anniversary, a discount of 60 euros will be granted for the next booking with KLM, valid until May 31, 2025. KLM is committed to punctuality and has an arrival rate of 75%. Customer service is also highly valued and the airline receives positive feedback regarding seating comfort, legroom and cleanliness, although some negative reviews point to aspects that cannot be influenced.
For travelers who want an exquisite experience, KLM also offers access to exclusive airport lounges, particularly at Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam, where amenities such as sophisticated lounge dining and sleeping cabins are available for a fee.
With these diverse offers and the opportunity to explore the world, FFH is setting new standards for travel fans with the “Weltentdecker” campaign together with KLM.
