Water miracle in Pöllauberg: New fire pond and adventure for everyone!

The nature park community of Pöllauberg today opened two new tourist highlights that are intended to attract both locals and visitors. A newly built fire pond with a volume of around 800 cubic meters of water will not only serve as a fire water reserve, but will also offer numerous leisure opportunities. The pond, which is located between the Berggasthof König and the Grasser holiday village complex, is equipped with a circular path, three footbridges and seating areas that invite you to relax.

The pond is supplied with water without any technical aids and is therefore blackout-proof. This increases safety and utility for the community in emergencies. An experience for the whole family

In addition to the extinguishing pond, eleven new experience stations were set up along a barrier-free path from the nature park arena to the village center. These stations offer attractions such as a ball maze, a “swing into the world”, a marble run and humorous jokes from Pöllauberg comedian Peter Töglhofer. These offers are intended to encourage families and children in particular to experience nature and become active.

The official opening of the new attractions will take place on Thursday, June 19th from 11am. The municipality expects that these initiatives will not only boost tourism but also contribute to the revitalization of local life.

Hiking path to the fire pond

Another attractive aspect is the hiking trail to the extinguishing pond, which is approximately 0.683 kilometers long. The height difference of 33 meters makes it a suitable destination for beginners and for leisurely walks. There are various benches along the trail that offer hikers the opportunity to rest and enjoy the view.
