Water miracle in Pöllauberg: Neuer Löschtich and adventure for everyone!
The Nature Parking community of Pöllauberg has opened two new tourist highlights today, which are supposed to attract both locals and visitors. A newly built fire -fighting pond with a volume of around 800 cubic meters of water will not only serve as a fire water reserve, but also offers numerous leisure options. The pond, which is located between the König and the Grasser Berggasthof and the Grasser holiday village, is equipped with a circular route, three jetties and seating that invite you to relax.
The water feeding of the pond is without technical aids and is therefore blackouted. This increases security and benefits for the municipality in emergencies. The project was realized with financial support from the EU (ELER-FOND), the BUND and the state of Styria, as meinbezirk.at
an experience for the whole family
In addition to the fire -fighting pond, eleven new experience stations along a barrier -free path were set up from the nature parkena to the village center. These stations offer attractions such as a ballabyrinth, a "swing in the world", a ball lane and humorous jokes by Pöllauberger Kolorbian Peter Töglhofer. These offers are intended to encourage families and children in particular to experience nature and become active.
The official opening of the new attractions will take place on Thursday, June 19, from 11 a.m. The municipality expects these initiatives not only boost tourism, but also contribute to the revival of local life.
hiking trail to the Löschtich
Another attractive aspect is the hiking trail to the fire -fighting pond, which has a length of approx. 0.683 kilometers. The height difference of 33 meters makes it a suitable goal for beginners and for cozy walks. There are various benches along the way, which offer hikers the opportunity to rest and enjoy the view.
- After about 0.14 kilometers there is a picnic area, ideal for a little break.
- At 0.31 kilometers, the hikers reach the fire -fighting pond, a quiet place to relax.
The path is a back and forth way so that hikers can enjoy the same beautiful view on the way back. It is recommended to bring enough water, especially on warm days, and to check the weather forecast to wear suitable hiking equipment.
The new project in Pöllauberg offers a pleasant and simple nature experience for all hikers and will undoubtedly create added value for tourism and the community, reports Reliefmaps.io .
