A comprehensive survey by Time Out magazine determined the best cities for culture in the world. More than 21,000 people from different countries assessed the cultural offerings in their cities in terms of quality and affordability. The ranking takes into account both classic institutions such as museums and theaters as well as modern formats such as pop-up festivals and creative community projects. A central criterion was also the influence of culture on the daily lives of both locals and tourists. The results have now been published and are a topic of conversation among culture enthusiasts.
What is particularly noteworthy is that no German cities are listed among the top 20, as only the best-rated city in each country was taken into account. The top three places have established themselves as real magnets for art and culture lovers. Loud Leadersnet wins Paris as a global “epicenter of art” with an outstanding approval rating of 96%. Second place goes to Florence, which attracts attention with innovative programs such as open-air cinemas. Edinburgh takes third place and particularly impresses with its legendary summer festivals.
