My experience at the Cairns White Water Rafting Tour

Since I had a temporary basis in Cairns and my own car, I decided to skip the transfer and drive directly to Lake Placid myself to meet the team.

It is important to work together as a team, and he mentioned that he already had some heroes on board who thought they would ignore his calls and help to control the boat himself. Andy says not like this type!

Between the larger drops we were able to jump out of the raft and let us drive. This was pretty relaxing and definitely one of the most unique opportunities to enjoy the picturesque sights of the Barron Gorge National Park.

After about 2 hours we tackled the last rapids and drove back to Lake Placid. We were really thrilled with our guide Andy, who was not only very competent, but also a great, down -to -earth person - thanks buddy!

• The bus is your locker and changing room
• At the end of the river near Lake Placid there is a toilet and a restaurant
• Wear solid shoes where they don't mind getting wet like that of Teva or old runners
• bring a hat or hat, but none with a "button", since it can be uncomfortable under the helmet
• sunscreen is a good idea on a hot day, but do not apply it to your legs, otherwise they can get slippery

Is it worth it?

As you can probably see, I am a big fan of the white water rafting tour on the Barron River in Cairns. This trip to me offers a good price-performance ratio and is definitely one of the best half-day tours in Cairns.

Everything went really smoothly. I found that this trip would work well for both beginners and for those with a little rafting experience. Although I did some tours in other parts of the world, it was refreshing to jump on such a professional journey as this!
