Zarrella concert in Greifswald canceled: fans are disappointed!

Giovanni Zarrella has to accept a setback: his “An Italian Summer Night” open-air tour in Greifswald is canceled without replacement. As the organizer “Roxx Events” announced in a message on Facebook, the financial conditions are so unfavorable that holding the concert is economically unviable. The planned performance the following day also had to be canceled because not enough tickets were sold.

The reaction from fans on Instagram is understandably disappointed. However, Zarrella, who has gained many fans with his music, will not have to take a break for long. The tour continues on June 10, 2025 in Wolfhagen and includes a total of 18 concerts in various cities in Germany, including Coburg, Braunschweig, Bremen, Berlin, Stuttgart and Hanau. The final performance of the tour is scheduled for September 16, 2025. “Roxx Events” offers ticket buyers the opportunity to return and refund the ticket price, which should be a bit of a relief for some fans.

Successful show and additional editions

Regardless of the concert cancellations, ZDF has extended the “Giovanni Zarrella Show” for three years and has announced five new editions for 2025. The next edition of the show will be broadcast on November 9, 2024 in the Lokhalle in Göttingen and broadcast live on television. After the number of viewers fell to 2.7 million at the last edition in September 2024, the show continues to have a public presence.

In the early years of 2021, Giovanni Zarrella was able to attract almost four million viewers. The upcoming show promises an exciting line-up: The guests include well-known pop artists such as Roland Kaiser, Maite Kelly and Marianne Rosenberg as well as German pop artists such as Max Giesinger and Lea. The Ehrlich Brothers will also perform a spectacular illusion from the last ten years. A special musical highlight is also planned: star violinist David Garrett and cellist Stjepan Hauser will present a version of Taylor Swift's “Shake It Off” together.

The tickets for this live broadcast are “completely sold out”, a waiting list is available for interested fans. Prices range between 50 and 98 euros, which shows the interest in the show and reinforces that Giovanni Zarrella is still an important figure in the German music scene despite the turbulence surrounding the tour.

Overall, fans will have many opportunities to see Giovanni Zarrella live in the coming months, either on his tour or in the show, which continues to delight viewers and come up with new formats. Schlager.de, Ruhr24
