Lenzerheide, Schweiz - A current analysis of search behavior shows that northern travel destinations in Europe are upgrading this summer. This applies in particular to trips to Switzerland, where interest according to Abouttravel.ch has increased significantly. The evaluation of the search queries within the Homeetogo group for trips between June 1 and September 30, 2025 proves that the demand for a variety of northern destinations has increased.
The increase in search queries for the Dutch coast with extremes +157.8% compared to the previous year is particularly outstanding. Other northern regions such as Finland (+43.7%) and southern Sweden (+28%) also have great interest. CEO Dieter Rumpel from E-Domizil AG explains that this trend may be due to the heat period in the Mediterranean and the growing need for sustainability and nature.
