Vietnam and Dominica: New ways of cooperation for travel and culture!

On May 28, 2025, Vietnamese Vice Minister Ho An Phong reiterated Vietnam's far-reaching efforts to pursue an open, multilateral and diversified foreign policy. The country strives to become a reliable partner and active member of the international community. In a recent meeting, Phong expressed Vietnam's motivation to deepen friendship and cooperation with Dominica, especially in the areas of culture, sports and tourism. A key concern is the creation of a visa-free agreement for ordinary passport holders of both countries, based on the existing diplomatic agreement.

As part of these efforts, Vietnam plans to welcome over 20 million international visitors this year. To facilitate international travel, the country has an open-door policy. Minister Vince Henderson of Dominica appreciated Vietnam's growing role in international forums and highlighted Dominica's support in organizations such as UNESCO and WTO. The two countries share common values ​​that include peace, stability and sustainable development.

Dominica is currently awaiting approval to open an embassy in Vietnam. Dominica's notable achievements include winning a gold medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics, highlighting sporting cooperation. Entry requirements to Vietnam

Many travelers are subject to a visa requirement to enter Vietnam. However, in certain cases, citizens of some countries, including Germany, France and the United Kingdom, can enter visa-free for up to 15 days. This regulation is valid until March 14, 2025. Travelers who wish to stay longer or do not have a passport from one of the countries mentioned are required to apply for a physical visa or an e-visa. The e-visa, which was introduced in 2018, can be applied for online and is cheaper and quicker to obtain.

Travelers must be abroad for at least 30 days after leaving the country before re-entry without a visa is possible in order to avoid abuse.
