How do you get to the Aguinide cases?

You have several options to get to the Aguinide Falls in Samboan. Those who come all the way from Cebu City should count on a long 4-hour journey, so it is best to stay nearby somewhere.

On a waterfall touring, a Cebu tour can be booked with 3 waterfalls that visit the Aguinide cases and two other epic waterfalls, including the popular Kawasan and MalabuoC waterfalls.

Motorbike best independent way to get to the Aguinide Falls, a motorcycle is to be rented. This is better if you spend the night in Moalboal or Oslob. At these two tourist centers you can pick up one for 300-400 PHP per day. Scroll down from the exact position to find the waterfalls.

If you plan to stay in Oslob during your trip to Cebu, this may be the best way to get to the Aguinide Falls. This is because it is a shorter route and a scenic ride around the southern tip of the island, which leads by on the way to the beautiful island of Sumilon.

Location of Aguinide cases

Aguinide Falls is about 1.5 hours from Moalboal in the municipality of Samboan. This is located south of Ginatilan, where you can find other epic waterfalls like the Inambakan Falls.

The epic 5-stage waterfall is located at a favorable near the main coastal road.

Arrival at the waterfall (Ecadventure Park)

Since the beginning of 2018, Aguinide if a program called EcoAdventure Park has been available. This differs a little from some of the other popular waterfalls in Cebu because they need a guide to visit the several waterfall levels.

As soon as you have arrived in the park, just behind the junction, you will most likely be asked by locals to park your motorcycle from your houses. However, a fee will most likely be charged.

Although I fully support locals who try to make some money with tourism, I think it is fair if you tell you the price in advance. So it is a good idea to first ask how much it will cost, usually 10 pesos are enough. They take care of their helmets and motorcycles for a small fee, and they support a local community.

After you have parked your bike, go to the ticket counter where you have to pay for admission.

The admission price for the Aguinide Falls is 60 pesos per person. This is the municipal fee and does not cover the guide.

There are several local guides who are waiting for zealous travelers. These guides work alternately and usually only get one tour a day. You don't get wages and rely fully on the tip. The ticket office is in advance with these details. It is entirely with you how much you want to pay the guides after seeing the waterfalls.

What you expect from Aguinide Falls Samboan

The waterfalls themselves have a total of eight levels. However, the upper three levels are reserved for professional canyoning teams. Therefore, only the first five levels are accessible. Apart from that, these levels are still great and they could easily spend a whole day with exploring them.

The first few levels are smaller waterfalls that are hidden between the jungle canyons. On each side there are steep limestone walls with dense jungle tendrils and overhanging palm trees.

Your guide leads you through the first levels. On the first two levels you have to climb the waterfall with a fixed rope. Your guides are more than qualified to help them, but it requires some strength and balance to pull up.

There are several depths, aquablaue pools for swimming and jumping as they climb the waterfall levels. Take your time and enjoy some of the smaller jumps. Ask your guide for the best places for jumping.

The fifth and last level is the masterpiece of Agunid Falls. It is a strange shaped waterfall enriched with limestone and calcium that flows into a flat pool. It is one of the most unique waterfalls in Cebu and exactly the right pressure to get a natural massage.

some tips before you go

Before you get on your way to the Aguinide Falls, you may want to know some of these useful tips.

• bring a pack sack with you when you bring cameras or phones. You get wet if you want to explore all waterfall levels.
• You sometimes have to go through hip -deep water. I recommend bringing either reef shoes or runners who can get wet or go barefoot.
• take time on the waterfalls. You may have the feeling that you don't want to overdo your time with the guides, but you usually only get one job a day. That's why they want to make the best of it.
• Do you want a waterfall exploration day? Why don't you look at some other waterfalls nearby? The popular tumalog Falls are not too far away.
• aguinide if if at 5:00 p.m., arrive early to spend a whole day at the waterfalls.
• Avoid using sunscreen or sunscreen, as this could contaminate the river (Tangbo River).
